Road service is not the same for every type of vehicle. The age of your vehicle and the type of vehicle that you have would influence the quality of road service that you may be able to qualify for, and even the service provider’s decision of whether or not you qualify for the road service in the first place.Â
For the new vehicle, the most basic type of road service coverage is often good enough, simply because a new vehicle would be in the best possible condition and would hardly be likely to break down on its own. On the other hand however, a used vehicle is one with a lot more risks and a higher probability of breakdown incidents or other incidents which may require road service assistance.
Generally, a road service package for the any car would carry such features as lockout assistance, breakdown assistance and towing facilities among others. Owners of new vehicles however rarely ever find the need to invest in a road service package outside of their own warranty coverage. This is because the new car warranty includes road service assistance which is honored by the vehicle manufacturer directly or by an independent provider authorized by the vehicle manufacturer.

Spending one’s money on a good road service program is one of the best things that any vehicle owner could do – at least in my opinion. But it is advisable to be aware of the type of road service that you invest in, for not all road services are the same. Many different options are available from a multitude of service providers, and they would all claim to offer the best deals and the best value when it comes to road service. But as an individual, when it comes to spending your money on a road service contract, there are just some things that you would need to know.
When you purchase a road service contract, it is quite easy to think that you are covered for any minor assistance or occurrence on the roadways. You would be surprised however to find, only too late, that some road services stipulate coverage distances with their assistance guarantee. It would definitely be a shame to call for road service assistance only to find that you are outside of the area of coverage. Also, you also need to be aware of the type of assistance that would best suit your own driving habits or that of your family. If you do not travel far very often, then a wide area of coverage may be an unnecessary added expense for you.

Road service, like so many other services, has today become a lot more advanced than it would have been some five years ago. Now many road service provision companies are working closely with vehicle manufacturers to install state of the art tracking devices (global positioning service technology is by far the most popular of all) into cars, vans, trucks and even in motor bikes, all with the fundamental principle of making vehicle tracking so much the easier.
You would expect therefore that a vehicle purchased a year ago would contain different features as opposed to those purchased some seven or eight years ago. Likewise, you would expect that a road service provider would operate differently now as compared to how he would have operated some five odd years ago. Road service programs used to rely heavily on the owner of the vehicle to call in the position of his vehicle before they were able to offer any kind of assistance, so if per say the driver did not have a cell phone on him or access to a land line anywhere close, then he was in trouble. With all the new technologies now however, just the push of a button inside the vehicle would be able to trigger some sort of distress communication to someone who is waiting for that call.

Road service refers to the different kinds of assistance rendered to vehicle owners in distress either on freeways or at their homes. The road service is offered by the vehicle dealers in association with the car manufacturers. It is necessary to register for this service at the time of purchasing the car since is very helpful.
Imagine, you are on a highway and your vehicle develops a technical snag. You cannot flag down a passing car for help. If you have registered for car service, immediately call the helpdesk and register a complaint. The road service squad will be deployed for your assistance as soon as possible.
The road service squad will identify the mechanical fault or technical snag and rectify it on the spot to enable a hassle free journey. However, if the fault cannot be rectified on the spot, the vehicle will be towed to the nearest work station by the squad. The assistance offered under road service includes engine repair, drive train and power train repair, resolving jump starting and ignition problems, engine and horn tuning and fluid and fuel delivery.
The road service is offered for a fee fixed by the auto dealer. However, some dealers offer road service as complimentary to maintain the goodwill of the customers.

Road service is assistance rendered by the auto dealers to vehicles owners in distress round the clock. The road service is an obligatory service offered in association with the car manufacturing companies. Some dealers offer road service as a complementary service to increase their brand equity to acquire more customers. The road service is now an integral part of many auto warranty packages.
Under the road service, the auto dealer will lend assistance such as detecting the engine fault or mechanical failure, setting it right on the spot, replacing faulty spare parts, flat tire replacement, delivering fuel and fluids, engine and horn tuning and vehicle towing service. The road service operates through a hotline telephone number. Whenever vehicle owners encounter problem while at home or on the highway, all they have to do is call the hotline and register the complaint. The mobile repair squad deployed in the nearest range will be sent to assist you.
If the mobile squad fails to rectify the problem on the spot, the vehicle will be towed to the mechanic’s workshop under the road service. However, vehicle owners will have to bear the cost of the repairs. The dealers will levy a fee to offer this service. The fee will be levied on an annual basis.

Are you one of those drivers prone to forgetting to take the keys out of the ignition when having a quick chat with an old school friend outside the car? Are you one of those drivers who drive their vehicles regularly with little or no thought to checking the water or changing the oil or even checking that the tank is full enough to take you where you wish to go and back home? Are you in fact one of those drivers who jump in their cars for a quick run and forget to pick up money for gas? Or are you simply a driver who is unaware as to how to change a flat tire or tell when your battery is going dead? If you are any of one of these drivers, then do not hesitate when I say that road service is for you.Â
Forgetful or simply negligent, road service is the service that facilitates the basic road requirements of most drivers on the roads. And when they cannot assist you to get your vehicle going again, they would most certainly be able to tow your vehicle to someone who most definitely can.

Road service is a very handy service for all drivers to have at hand, especially if you are covering far distances on a routine basis – whether it is in the road to your job or whether it is simply because you live on the road.
Imagine for instance if you were to lock yourself out of your mobile home, with all your personal belongings and identification and other important stuff in there, and with no one else to call for help because you are travelling alone – what would you do then? Who would you call for help? Even if you did find a locksmith close at hand, would he be willing to come to you? With road service, locksmith services are usually always included free of charge and are available at a moment’s notice.
What about if your van got stuck in a in a ditch or on a soft dirt road and it would not move irregardless of how many times you tried to get it out – who would you be able to call to help you out at a moment’s notice? Who can assure you that they would be able to help you irregardless of the size of the vehicle or the weight of it? Why take the chance on relying on a stranger for help when road services would ensure safe and timely responses to practically any problem that you might encounter on your journey?

It has to be agreed that even after years of demanding the best from all road service programs that road service continues to be the female driver’s most trusted companion on the roadways. While any type of driver in fact stands to benefit from the reliable assurance of timely and great services by most all road service providers, it is indeed the only service that meets the needs of the female driver in its entirety.
This is quite simply because road service provides a multitude of benefits aimed specifically at the needs of the female driver in particular. For example, how many men would admit that they cannot or would not prefer to change a tire for themselves? How many men therefore would you think are willing to embrace one of the most basic features of any road service package – tire changing assistance? The woman driver on the other hand would unabashedly admit that she is a novice at such feats, and would gladly accept help from any of the countless male drivers who would undoubtedly stop to offer their manly assistance to the damsel in distress. This point therefore brings us on the toes of the final point that we wish to make about road service – it is a lot safer for the female driver than simply relying on the assistance of a stranger in the black of the night.

It is my experience as a driver with over twenty years of driving experience that road service is indeed one of the more important, and in fact is among the most necessary services that any driver should have in hand at all times.
It facilitates the needs of all drivers – whether it is the need of the experienced driver or if it is the need of the insecure or novice driver – by providing a range of reliable services answered within minutes of your call for request. Most of the services offered by varied road service providers would generally include some common services, but it is not uncommon to find the facilities offered by different road services varying somewhat. Almost all road services provide the basic features such as towing services, battery jump starts and tire change or repair services. Some might limit the range within which they would be able to respond to your call for help, while others might specify that certain services must be paid for after a certain introductory or bonus period has passed. The best part of the road service however is that your calls for help will always be answered, never ignored or forgotten – so you can be assured of your safety as well as your comfort while you await help on the roadways.

Road service is one of the few driver-friendly services that have actually come to my rescue on more than one occasion. It has helped me out for simple inconveniences like when I inadvertently locked myself out of my car. It has also pulled me out of many tight spots like if I had to change a tire on a mud-streaked roadway in my only good outfit on my way to a business conference. It has helped me out when I simply needed a tow to the nearest garage, or even when the gas meter surprised me with ‘empty’ on a lonesome freeway.
Never has a single day passed in fact that I have ever regretted my decision to invest in road service. Not only is it good on my pockets in the long run (imagine the cost of hiring a tow truck twice in one month!), it is also a comfortable and convenient service to have at your fingertips in cases of emergencies – and I do consider a flat tire on a stormy day when I am in no way dressed to get below a car to be an emergency! And the good thing is that so long as your call is a genuine one, road service would never deny your call for assistance!
