Dead Car Batteries Are Inconvenient: Roadside Assistance Can Help You

Corroded Battery TerminalsDead batteries are a very big inconvenience. However, when you come across this situation the only thing you can do is have someone jump-start your car or call for roadside assistance. There are many preventative actions that you can take in order to avoid a dead battery:

1. No matter what type of battery you have, you must inspect the terminal connections every now and again. Check for tightness and corrosion.

2. If there are corroded terminals, clean them with a small brush and a mixture of baking soda and water.

3. Perform a visual inspection of the battery to look for damage, leaks, and cracks. If you find any of these things, it is important to get the battery replaced immediately.

The time to save your battery is prior to signs of wear and tear. However, you cannot always predict when a battery will fail. Therefore, it is important to have a roadside assistance program to call for help if the battery dies on you.
