Road service may seem like an unnecessary investment now, but eight to twelve months from now you may be feeling quite differently.  Road service provides an assurance for the driver while on the roadways that he is never alone in a time of car problems.  Problems could take the form of a minor lockout incident with your car, a flat tire, an overheated engine or even total shut-down assistance in the form of tow services.

Most new vehicles would most likely never find the need for assistance due to a leaky radiator or a flooded engine (unless however the forces of nature work against you and you are stalled in a flood, for example) within its first few months or even years of purchase.  Chances are that other things could go wrong, things which you do not foresee or plan ahead for.  In such circumstances, you could end up having to call a private service for assistance – and undoubtedly end up having to pay twice as much for road service then than it would cost you now to invest in a road service.

If you do own a vehicle that is not a brand new one , then road service is definitely for you!  A used car is twice as likely (maybe even more) to break down or experience mechanical problems on the roads that a new car is.
