How To Choose An Auto Road Service Program

hw.jpgYou don’t need to buy the most complex or elaborate plan to meet your personal needs. Here are some guidelines that may help you to choose the plan for you and your family. Make sure you study the fine print carefully before making a selection.

Consider a full-service auto road service plan, such as those offered by AutoRoadService.com, AAA, GM Motor Club, AARP, or Better World Club if your family has more than one vehicle or if you need to cover multiple drivers. Make sure you are not duplicating any coverage you have already from a credit card.

Choose a program with a generous towing allowance, generally at least 25 miles.

Pay attention to the fine print or you will not realize that your auto road service plan does not cover the cost of towing as a result of floods, fires, or other events until your vehicle is roof-deep in a rain storm.

Be wary that there are certain places where no plan can go. Some restricted highways only allow certain licensed tow services and prohibit others from sending assistance. Those times you will just need to call 911 and hope for the best.
